Beyonce Skincare Secrets and Routine

You feel more confident when you’re wearing a fragrance you love.

I always keep a pair of Ray-Bans handy!

And sometimes I put a little gold eye shadow in the inner corners of my eyes—it’s more subtle than white, but it still really makes you look more awake.

I layer on bronzers for public appearances. I love L’Oréal Paris Sublime Bronze One Day gel, which you can just get at Walmart, and Scott Barnes Body Bling is also great.

It’s a healing ointment, but I use it to remove eye makeup, as a lip moisturizer and on my eyelids – on Aquafor Healing Ointment

Eating well, drinking lots of water and getting lots of rest all help with my skin. I’ve also discovered some of the best moisturizers while in Europe, like Eucerin’s Aquaporin.

Every day. I put it on as soon as I get out of the shower. I wear it onstage, in the studio, on dates. – on how often she uses a fragrance

There’s a scrub by Carol’s Daughter—Ocean Sea Salt Scrub—it feels like the beach and it has the most beautiful scent. I’m always rushing, and this scrub is moisturizing, so it cuts out a step for me because I don’t have to completely cover myself with lotion.

I love the Rosebud Salve in the blue can. I wear it with my lipstick. I did this trick last summer, when I was on vacation: I used it to prime my lashes before curling. It was like a natural mascara. It made the lashes hold the curl and look shiny. I use it for everything!

Beyonce Makeup Secrets and Routine

…one of the things I love about makeup: You can change your whole attitude just by doing your eyeliner or lipstick differently.

I use a makeup primer, and then I use a lot of powder to keep everything in place.

I usually go for a waterproof mascara, or a strip of false lashes when I’m onstage, so I won’t get smudgy.

[Makeup artists] have a spray, it’s an after-spray. They sell it in every line, M.A.C.has one. After you put your powder on—I don’t know how it does it—but it makes your skin look like skin again. It takes away the chalkiness. That always makes me look more natural—you can see my pores and the shine in my skin. I use it every day now. I won’t wear a powder if I don’t have that. I keep one in my purse!

Lip gloss – I love L’Oréal’s Infallible 8 HR Le Gloss in Coral Sands – and a little bit of blush.

I’m pretty good at throwing out the expired stuff, but I hold on to my mascara for a long time. I actually prefer old mascara. It makes your lashes thicker and longer.

Beyonce Hair Secrets and Routine

…I love L’Oréal Paris Elnett hairspray—it holds like nothing else.

Perfume is the finishing touch to my outfit and I love to spray it on my hair. I include notes of orchid in my fragrance, as they remind me of sunshine…

I love playing around with highlights or bleaching the tips. I can cut and style my own hair.

Beyonce Diet Secrets and Routine

I’m not trying to lose or gain weight, but I do have to work out and watch what I eat.

I’ll usually have cereal for breakfast and a salad for lunch and a light dinner, and then on Sundays I’ll allow myself to have whatever I want.

Comfort food helps. I allow myself one bad meal every week. Yesterday, I had pizza and wine. There’s too much good out there to never indulge.

It’s really delicious because it tastes like it’s not very good for you, – on her original Sasha Salad (lettuce, tomato, avocado, jalapenos, chicken breast, oil and vinegar)

I have granola or Special K for breakfast. Then I’ll have a snack. Sliced fruit, or tomatoes and cucumbers with vinaigrette and cayenne pepper.

For lunch, I invented a salad, the Sasha Salad, which is lettuce, tomato, avocado, jalapenos and chicken breast with oil and vinegar. It’s really delicious because it tastes like it’s not very good for you…

Beyonce Fitness Secrets and Routine

I just started working out at the Tracy Anderson gym. It’s hard work!

I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on a treadmill. I ate lettuce! – on loosing the baby weight

I can’t eat what I want, and I can’t not go to the gym.

The truth is, it’s a lot of sacrifice. It’s more about your mental strength than physical strength. You have to push yourself. It doesn’t matter what trainer you have. And it doesn’t matter what program you’re on. You have to be healthy and make the right choices

I’ll put on a song that I really like and do [biceps curls with] five-pound weights [for] the whole song and just try to burn out.

I keep sit-ups interesting by doing them on the ball.

I can do 10 push-ups at a time! I’m actually very proud of that, because I could never, ever, ever do one. And I do a lot of lunges and squats.

I try to hold my body weight for a minute on my toes and hands.

I counted calories. I worked out maybe three to four times a week. – on loosing baby weight

I feel best when I’m not really thin and not really heavy, when I’m still curvy.

I really believe that everyone is supposed to be different, and whatever is a natural weight for you is usually what looks best.
