There’s the ultra-sheer [Neutrogena] sunscreen, so that’s the one I wear every day under my foundation.

I make sure that I put sunscreen on under my makeup, or just by itself, no matter where I am going. It’s actually interesting because I realized that even high SPFs … if you don’t reapply, you’re not going to get the same kind of coverage. SPF 70 can be like a 19 SPF if you don’t apply it properly.

Don’t use the sun. Everyone fakes it nowadays. You know you see these celebrities walking the carpet and they’ve got these pretty tans. It’s fake, fake, fake

I learned you can be using an SPF 50 sunscreen, but if you’re applying only a small amount you could be getting less-than-20 coverage. So you have to apply it continually and generously.

A deep cleaning is important to clear out pores.

At night, I like to give my skin a big drink, so I use Ultra Gentle Soothing Cream by Neutrogena all over my face, neck, and hands.

I love the [Neutrogena] ‘MoistureShine’ lip gloss. We always use them on our cheeks, too — especially when we carry around bags the size that we do where you can fit like one lip gloss in there.

I put bronzer around my face and in my hairline. I also use it as eye shadow. It gives the perfect contour in the crease and under the lash line.

Try maroon, deep purple, brown [eyeliners]. Use a brush with an eraser-shaped tip to blend everything out so you don’t have a hard line.

It [Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm] gives you great bee-stung lips.

If I do smoky eyes, I go for soft pink lips.

My hair is on the dry side, so I use a creamy moisturizing shampoo for daily use

When you are on set working, your hair goes through a lot of styling stress and there’s a ton of hair spray, so I use this [Neutrogena Shampoo, Anti-Residue Formula] to keep my hair soft and protect it from breaking.

Hayden Panettiere Diet Secrets and Routine

You need protein to feed your muscles and your body and your mind to stay awake.

You need healthy carbohydrates because when you burn them, they turn into energy. If you don’t burn them, they turn into fat. You need vegetables to keep everything going. A healthy meal.

I tried vegetarianism, but my body didn’t respond well. I was low-energy. Now I make egg-white scrambles with veggies for breakfast.

For lunch, I have chicken or fish and greens, which are good for keeping your system working.

I’m a fan of sushi for dinner, as long as the fish aren’t endangered.

When I indulge, I try to do it in the morning so I can burn it off.

It’s my responsibility to be healthy and, no, I’m not going to starve. I’m sorry—I can’t be full on salad.

I try to have a protein, whether it be tofu or something else. Then a salad—the greens really make your whole system work. Plus some carbs. And maybe a soup, I love soup!

Swimming works all your muscles — your core, glutes, quads, even the ones you didn’t know you had, like the little ones in your feet and hands!

My best friend, Amy, has an elevator phobia, so we always take the stairs. Lots and lots of stairs. We will walk 12 flights. It’s less embarrassing than getting into an elevator with her.

I think the bicycle crunch is great. Not only are you doing sit-ups, but you’re working your obliques at the same time. And if you do it properly, it’s great.

It’s about the quality more than quantity. If you can do ten good ones, that’s better than 100 not good ones!

Running isn’t great on your joints, but whether it be bicycling or walking, get your heart rate up for that endurance, and practicing that constant breathing. If I did everyday, I’d probably only do a half hour because I find if I push myself too hard, my brain starts thinking of working out as a burden instead of something I enjoy. Three times a week is a really healthy amount. Same thing with weightlifting.

It [Bikram yoga] can be tough, but you’re sweating out toxins and water weight.

I used to run an hour every day. It was too much for me, and my body shut down. So now I don’t push it over the top.

I’m active, on my feet during 16-hour workdays and then I come home, pour some wine, light some candles and read a book.

I’d love to be in a bikini and not worry about sucking in! Pilates is good for the core. My favorite ab move is the bicycle crunch.

Having a trainer made me feel as if it was a job, as opposed to going for a jog, which I look forward to. I hike Radnor Lake here, too.
